9-29-16: Of course there are known negatives of animal agriculture, but even the simplest one, eating an animal, breaks my heart. Looking at these pictures I truly can't believe why anyone would want to eat these animals.
10-18-16: National Geographic says that at the current rate of deforestation, the world’s rainforests could diminish and virtually vanish within the next 100 years at our current rate of depletion. The Wageningen University and Research Centre similarly reports that, “Agriculture is estimated to be the direct driver for around 80% of deforestation worldwide.”
12-9-16: In a Stanford Law School Journal, "A Leading Cause of Everything: One Industry That Is Destroying Our Planet and Our Ability to Thrive on It" it is addressed that animal agriculture is a leading cause of many major environmental problems we face globally and domestically—most importantly, climate change; and animal agriculture is too often left out of the policy discussion. 12-9-16: There is a battle going on in Congress right now between, " The pro-GMO labeling Genetically Engineered Food Right to Know Act (H.R. 913 and S.511) and the anti-GMO labeling Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act (H.R. 1599), also known as the DARK Act, which seeks to overturn existing state laws requiring GMO labeling" In my opinion, they should label if food is genetically engineered or not it is so wrong and actually against our rights to hold information like that from the public. The people deserve to know what they are putting in their bodies. www.gracelinks.org/blog/6454/looking-forward-10-of-the-top-issues-of-2016
